Marissa Hernandez,
Associate Choreographer associatechoreographer@themovementalliance.org Marissa has studied various types of dance for over 11 years including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, and Belly Dance. She decided at the age of 13 that dance was really what she wanted to do forever. It wasn't just an activity, it was and is her life. She began studying with Bon Marie Munier; Director of Echappe' Dance Art Theatre, and began assistant teaching and discovered that she wanted to be an instructor. She is now currently the Assistant Director at Echappe' Dance Art Theatre and an instructor to many students. Along her journey, Marissa came across Lovie Bucknell and The Movement Alliance in late 2004 and fell in love with modern dance. She is currently the Production Manager, Associate Choreographer, and company member. She longs to further her modern dance knowledge more and has begun to do so by exploring many styles taught by various instructors such as Robert Moses, Lizz Roman, and Karen Attix.
